 मराठेशाहीतील घाटगे घराण्याचा राजवाडा : राजापूर (खटाव जि. सातारा)

अंबाजी राजे घाटगे यांचा ऐतिहासिक राजवाडा आणि त्यांची समाधी ही राजापूर या गावात आहे. राजापूर हे गाव अंबाजी राजे घाटगे यांनीच वसवले म्हणून या गावास राजापूर हे नाव पडले. राजवाडा हा ३ एकर येवढ्या मोठ्या भागात आहे. हा राजवाडा पूर्ण दगड, विटा, माती आणि चूना यांचा वापर करून बांधलेला दिसून येतो. साधारणपणे ३०० वर्षाचा इतिहास या वाड्यास लाभलेला आहे. राजवाड्याच्या शेजारीच श्री. जानुबाई देवीचे मंदिर आहे. राजवाड्यातून या मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी भुयारी मार्ग होता. आता तो मार्ग बंद करण्यात आलेला आहे. राजवाड्याला मोठे असे प्रवेश द्वार असलेले पहायला मिळते. वाड्यात धान्य कोठारे, हत्ती खाना, पाण्याचे कुंड, विहीर असे अनेक वस्तूंचे अवशेष आपणाला पहायला मिळतात. वाड्याच्या बाहेर एक दगडी विहीर आड ही आपल्याला पहायला मिळतो. हा इतिहास राजवाडा इतिहासाची साक्ष देत आज ही त्या ठिकाणी असलेला आपल्याला पहायला मिळतो. या वाड्याला भेट देण्यासाठी योग्य वेळ म्हणजे मार्च ते जून या कालावधीत वाड्यातील इतर सर्व वास्तू पहायला मिळतील. इतर वेळी स्वच्छता नसल्याने आत मध्ये खूप अडचण असते.

The Ghatge Dynasty Palace of the Maratha Empire: Rajapur (Khatav, District Satara) —

The historic palace and the samadhi (mausoleum) of Ambaji Raje Ghatge are located in Rajapur, a village founded by and named after Ambaji Raje himself. Spanning a massive 3 acres, this palace carries a rich history of nearly 300 years and was built entirely using stone, bricks, clay, and lime mortar. The famous Shri Janubai Devi Temple stands right next to the palace, and though an underground secret tunnel once connected the two, it has now been closed. The palace features a grand, massive entrance gate, and inside the complex, you can still see the ruins of granaries, an elephant stable (Hatti Khana), a water tank (Kund), a stepwell, and a traditional stone-lined well (Aad) just outside the walls. Today, this structure stands as a living testament to Maratha history. The best time to visit is between March and June when the inside is clear for exploration, as overgrown vegetation and a lack of maintenance make it difficult to access at other times.
